Drs. Richard Brown and Patricia Gerbarg have designed Breath-Body-Mind strategies to assist all ages in balancing their anxiety, stress and traumas in their lives.
Dr. Brown is an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Brown teaches advanced breath techniques with movement and meditation to help stressed and traumatized people improve energy, sleep quality, stress resilience and peace of mind. His work is a unique fusion of ancient and modern mind-body techniques derived from Qigong, yoga, Christian monks, Coherent Breathing, Open Focus meditation and martial arts.
Dr. Gerbarg is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychiatry at New York Medical College practicing Integrative Psychiatry and researches the efficacy of mind-body practices for post-traumatic stress disorder and survivors of mass disasters. She assists Dr. Brown in workshops and is the co-author of numerous scientific articles and books.

Learn Coherent Breathing approaches for improved health and well being known as Breath- Body-Mind (BBM). BBM is a healthy alternative to medications for stress, anxiety and PTSD.
Reverends Bill and Martha are certified instructors for BBM techniques as instructed by Dr. Richard Brown and Dr. Patricia Gerbarg. Our BBM instruction was received at Kripalu Yoga Institute, Lee, MA.
BBM gives you a step-by-step process to help you reach your ultimate state of relaxation by slowing you breathing, moving your Qi energy and finishing with a relaxed meditation. BBM assists in lifting your enjoyment for a more peaceful and serene existence without the total dependence of medication.

Chemung County Department of Mental Hygiene is a recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0427. In addition, CME's for physicians, psychologists and nurses was just approved.
